The Lab
Our lab is located within the Center for Advanced Research in Sleep Medicine at the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal (CIUSSS-NÎM) in Montreal, Canada. We are affiliated with the University of Montreal.
We are a vibrant team dedicated to using brain imaging and computational neuroscience approaches for understanding the physiological brain mechanisms underlying sleep disorders, their connection to neurodegenerative diseases such as major neurocognitive disorders, and the signs and symptoms they may induce.
Our research particularly focuses on synucleinopathies, including dementia with Lewy bodies, Parkinson's disease, and multiple system atrophy, aiming to understand how these manifest in the brain through the preclinical lens of sleep, particularly isolated REM sleep behavior disorder. To accomplish this, our neuroinformatics laboratory has access to a dedicated computing infrastructure and a team of experts committed to the processing, analysis, and interpretation of brain imaging data, complemented by a team of (amazing!) trainees.
We strongly believe in the power of collaboration as the cornerstone of scientific progress, which is why our lab actively engages with an international network of world-leading collaborators in the fields of sleep and neurodegeneration. Moreover, our team is dedicated to disseminating our research and expand the frontiers of knowledge and outreach in the fields of sleep medicine, neurodegeneration, and computational neuroscience.
